Kambakhht ishq was one of the most eagerly anticipated Indian movies of 2009 owing to the impressive star cast of the film. Denise Richards and Sylvester Stallone had also been roped in for cameos.Unfortunately the film has not lived up to its expectations. A trite storyline, bad acting and a highly emotional second half, add to the woes of the film. It began life as being an entertaining comedy film, but somewhere along the line, the scriptwriter seems to have lost his way and voila! We have a mixture of two films and both of them of a rather poor quality.Akshay Kumar plays the role of a successful Hollywood stuntman, who hates commitment and marriage. One would have thought that this was a role tailor-made for him, since he has always fostered a macho image in the industry. Kareena’s size zero body suits her role as a supermodel and an aspiring surgeon.However, it is the ridiculous storyline that seems to have caused the mismatch in the film.
