The family of killer Kevin James Loibl posted a note on the front door of their St Petersburg home, expressing their “deepest sorrow” for the loss “to the family, friends & fans of the very talented, loving Christina Grimmie”. Orlando Police Chief John Mina said at a news conference that the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Loibl of St Petersburg, Florida. Loibl had two handguns, two loaded magazines and a large hunting knife with him, NBC News reports. He didn’t appear to know Grimmie personally.
