FestivalsHeritage Day Festival: Walk along the Good Neighbor Trail and visit with more than 60 artists, crafters and vendors at the Hernando Historical Museum Association’s annual Heritage Day Festival, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 16 at Russell Street Park/Good Neighbor Trailhead, 70 Russell St, Brooksville. There will be home-baked goods, music in the gazebo and food trucks. Also introducing the “Children’s Adventure Passport.” Children can pick up a passport in front of the One Room Schoolhouse and begin their adventure. Visit with Smokey the Bear, snakes, spinners, weavers and pioneer gardeners, as well as have a pony ride, pictures with Belle and join the coloring contest. Those who complete their passport will receive a gift. Admission is free. Also, for a fee, there will also be optional tours of historic homes and museums (tickets $15, $5 for ages 6-12).
