It’s the biggest free Armed Forces Day event on the east coast – and it’s only an hour from Hull. Thousands of spectators from around our county and North East Lincolnshire will be descending upon Cleethorpes this Saturday and Sunday for spectacular flying displays from the likes of Eurofighter Typhoons and Hurricanes. And it’s not as far as you might think to go to watch the spectacular programme of events and displays of aircraft and vehicles of the Army, Navy and RAF to celebrate the armed forces past and present. As reported by Grimsby Live, this year’s event will also coincide with the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings, making it an extra special day with even more attractions to see.
