ViacomCBS to Launch Rebranded Paramount+ Streaming Service on March 4

The streaming service rebrand from CBS All Access is part of management’s strategic focus for 2021. ViacomCBS will launch its rebranded streaming service under the new Paramount+ brand in the U.S. and in Latin America on March 4, the company said on Tuesday. The company, led by CEO Bob Bakish, will roll the streamer out to international markets in phases, with the Nordics debut set for March 25, and Australia following in mid-2021. In Canada, the CBS All Access streaming service will be rebranded to Paramount+ on March 4 as well, and “an expanded offering will be available later in the year,” the company said. ViacomCBS on Tuesday also set a previously mentioned investor event to discuss its streaming strategy for Feb. 24. It will also report its fourth-quarter and full-year financial results for the that day. “The presentation will deliver a comprehensive overview of the company’s streaming strategy, including Paramount+, Pluto TV, and Showtime OTT,” it said.
