Cristiano Ronaldo has already equalled Alexis Sanchez and Angel Di Maria's Manchester United Premier League goal tallies after just two games. The 36-year-old phenomenon scored his third league goal since his return to the club in the nail-biting 2-1 victory over West Ham on Sunday, with Jesse Lingard adding the second late-on. That came after Ronaldo netted a brace on his second debut for United as they beat Newcastle United 4-0 at Old Trafford, 12 years after he initially left for Real Madrid. And the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has shamed United's previous no.7s by already overtaking their goal-scoring totals after far fewer matches. Sanchez had been a world-class forward at Arsenal but became a flop after his move to Man United. He spent 18 months at Old Trafford, scoring only three times in 32 league appearances before being loaned out to Inter Milan. Fellow South American Di Maria suffered a similar fate at United, arriving for a whopping £59.7million fee and initially showing promise.
